I am excited to announce the recent publication of “Interpersonal Violence: The Social Work Response”. As an interdisciplinary scholar-practitioner, it was an honor to contribute to my friend and mentor Dr. Tricia Bent-Goodley‘s scholarly work (Editor). Interpersonal violence remains a criminal justice and public health problem that must not be ignored. In our book chapter, my colleague in the movement Lisa Marah Nitsch and I discuss the history and importance of engaging abusive persons involved in intimate partner violence and its implications for social work practice. The information shared by fellow contributors is very insightful.
