Dr. Rice Quoted in NY Times in Response to Mass Shootings
I was recently afforded an opportunity to share my perspective with the New York Times on the spike in mass shootings that are becoming more frequent in Baltimore and other parts of the United States. Such events create deep trauma for persons exposed to such violence, erode safety and trust within communities, and make collective efficacy difficult to achieve particularly when fatalities result. It is vital to examine and consider all factors that can influence the prevention of such events and enhance societal response.
