Dr. Rice and Dr. Mercy Shengy New Publication on Environmental Justice and Environmental Crime

I am pleased to share our newly published article, “Environmental Justice and Environmental Crime Awareness at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs): Insights from Behavioral Science Researchers,” coauthored with Dr. Mercy Nguavese Shenge. Ph.D.,MPH, Assoc. AIA.

Published in the International Journal of Translational Medical Research and Public Health, the article highlights our adoption of a four-pillar framework integrating education, research, advocacy and activism, and community collaboration. The case study examples highlighted provide a snapshot of how HBCUs can prepare students to address environmental injustice and environmental crime while strengthening public health competencies and community partnerships.

I invite colleagues, educators, researchers, and community partners to read and share the article: Environmental Justice and Environmental Crime Awareness at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs): Insights from Behavioral Science Researchers | International Journal of Translational Medical Research and Public Health
